NSL Sugars Ltd., was established as an associate company of NSL (Nuziveedu Seeds), with perception that a real scope prevailed for economic activity in Agro-based Industry in rural India.
The company was floated to establish Sugar Industry complex at Koppa Village, Maddur taluk of Mandya Dist., where untapped potential existed. The company has its Registered Office at Bangalore. NSL Sugars Ltd., was formed at the time when the Sugar Industry was reeling under crisis and passing through a tough time and even stalwarts of the Industry found it difficult to operate their existing establishments leave alone new ventures. To enter the Sugar Industry at the time was a real challenge.
Under the leadership of Sri.M.Prabhakar Rao, with his rich experience in Agro-based Industry and exceptional abilities and vision ably assisted by dedicated and result-oriented Managerial team and Workforce, the NSL Sugars Ltd, has been scaling high and accrediting achievements year by year ever since its establishments and has earned a place in the forefront of the Sugar Industry.

NSL Sugars Ltd., originated as a result of vision and initiative of Sri. Mandava Prabhakar Rao, Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), for canalizing the potentials of Agricultural sector in the Rural India towards contribution to the economic development of the nation. Sri. Mandava Prabhakar Rao, Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of the company being a Post Graduate in Agricultural Sciences by himself dedicating all his knowledge and expertise for the Agricultural development of the country as Managing Director of the Company Pioneer in Seed production in the Country, Nuziveedu Seeds Limited(NSL), founded by his father and Chairman of the Company Sri.M.Venkataramaiah, Nuziveedu Seeds Limited, a widely reputed company in the Country, producing and offering fundamental and crucial input for the farmers, the quality seed under the brand “SUBEEJ” has earned not only reputation amongst the farmers but also a number of awards in recognition of its accredited achievements in the field of quality seed production and its contribution to the seed production technology.
While, NSL continued to grow and scaling new heights both technically and financially the strive of its management in its contribution to the agricultural and rural development of the country, was further widened in the form of diversification into other agro-based and allied Industries such as, Wind Mill Power Generation in Karnataka & Tamilnadu, Bio-mass Power Generation in Andhra Pradesh, under the banner Indur Green Power(P) Ltd., Nizamabad, Perpetual Energy Systems Ltd., Vizianagaram, Hydel Power Project in Himachal Pradesh, Spinning and Textiles in Andhra Pradesh, IT Parks and Sugar sector which facilitated birth of SCM Sugars Ltd., (NSL Sugars Ltd Presently).
Management Philosophy:
The Philosophy of the management at NSL Sugars Ltd., has been engaging in agro-based industrial and commercial activity where the opportunity for canalising the untapped potentials exist for economic growth and development of the organization, coupled with uplift of farming community and rural populace by improving their income levels and economic conditions, by providing commercial agriculture and employment opportunities. It is well visualized that the real scope for economic development of the country lies in the agricultural and rural development. With this philosophy and motto the policies, procedures and strategies of the company have been formulated and working of the company towards this philosophy is evident from the progress and achievements made at NSL Sugars Ltd., and the social and economic growth attained by the farmers numbering over 20,000 who form the cliental of the company and the members of farmers families who are employed directly or indirectly in the working of the factory, other service providers such as harvesters, transporters, other contractors associated with the company which further has facilitated overall progress in the surrounding areas.
